Kim Jong Il to Be Remembered in Nepal

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- A Nepali committee for honoring the memory of leader Kim Jong Il was formed in Katmandu on Nov. 7 on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of his demise. Nilam K. C., minister of Women, Children and Social Welfare of Nepal, and Krishna Bahadur Mahara, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), were elected honorary chairpersons of the memorial committee and C. P. Mainali, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (Marxist-Leninist), chairman of the memorial committee. The committee set a memorial period from Nov. 7 to Dec. 17 and decided to hold such events as seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show to give wide publicity to the undying contributions and great exploits Kim Jong Il performed in socialist construction in the DPRK and the cause of global independence and remember him with deep emotion during the period. |
