At the rally speakers denounced the authorities for threatening the vital rights of the poor people by resorting to violence. Now is the time for the people to turn out in the action against the "government" which treats them as slaves, they held.

They declared they would fight against the power which brings only pain to the people.

At the end of the rally the participants marched as far as the Kangnam District Office, shouting "Let's defend the vital rights" and other slogans.
