Lifting of "May 24 Measure" Demanded in South Korea

| Pyongyang, November 16 (KCNA) -- Economic bodies engaged in the inter-Korean economic cooperation held a press conference near Kwanghwamun in Seoul on Nov. 13 in demand of the lifting of the "May 24 measure", sanctions against the north, according to the south Korean KBS. They deplored they had lived a painful life since the "May 24 measure" took effect. They demanded the regime lift the measure immediately and resume the tour of Mt. Kumgang. They pinned a great hope on the 2nd round of the south-north high-level contact but their hope was dashed by the leaflet scattering operations of bodies of defectors from the north, they noted. They urged the authorities to check the leaflet scattering operations and punish the main culprits. |
