Rodong Sinmun says the mothers in the DPRK are significantly marking the day amid the profound care and blessings of the party and the state as they are deeply respected and loved by all other people.

This is a manifestation of the Workers' Party of Korea and people's profound gratitude and respect for the best mothers in the world who have rendered great services to the country and nation with high revolutionary spirit, ardent patriotism and deep love for the children, the paper notes, and goes on:

The mothers in the DPRK are the excellent educators who brought up a large contingent of successors to the revolution and revolutionaries and patriots who have devoted themselves to the revolutionary cause of the party.

They are the beautiful human beings totally dedicated to the society and the collective.

The world knows no such women as the mothers of the DPRK who let their sons and daughters fight life-and-death battles and no instance of the mothers who sent their dear eight sons and daughters or six sons and daughters to posts for defending the country and those who feel proud of their children who laid down their lives to be true to their revolutionary principles, left all alone on an isolated island.

They deserve praises from people just for bringing up their children and leading them to take the road of revolution and helping their husbands to be loyal to their revolutionary duties.

But not content with this, they are devoting themselves to the revolutionary cause of the party and its cause of building a rich and powerful country.

The history of the Korean people's heroic struggle in which they made the unprecedented Arduous March and have stepped up the dynamic advance for building a thriving nation records the precious feats performed by the mothers.
