Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in a commentary in this regard:

This deal self-exposes the reason why the U.S. extended the transfer of the right to the wartime operation control (OPECON).

The commentary goes on:

It is the sinister intention of the U.S. ruling quarters that south Korea should bolster up its armed forces to cope with the "threat" from the DPRK and buy weapons from it to this end.

Munitions industries of the U.S. are now shouting for joy at windfall to be expected from the extension of transfer of the OPECON to south Korea.

It is as clear as noonday that the U.S. munitions industries such as Lockheed Martin and Radian will go busy with the production of weaponry, pointing fingers of scorn at the south Korean puppet authorities faithfully serving the U.S.

The U.S. goal is to see Koreans fight each other. "Merchants of death" of the U.S. conceived an arms sale designed to kill many birds with one stone. This is a criminal act of sparking a fratricidal war in Korea. This arms deal between the aggressors and traitors is lashing all Koreans into fury.

All facts go to prove the validity of the DPRK's measures to bolster up its nuclear deterrence.

The above-said arms deal only compels the DPRK to further bolster up its nuclear deterrence.
