The tower on Aegi Hill in Kagum-ri, Hasong-myon in Kimpho City of Kyonggi Province has served as a means for anti-DPRK psychological warfare of the south Korean puppet authorities.

That is why south Koreans and all other Koreans strongly demanded the dismantlement of the tower escalating north-south confrontation and tension.

However, the present chief executive of south Korea got angry over the removal of the tower without her knowledge while the coteries of the "Saenuri Party" and Kimpho City Administration authorities called for enlarging the light tower and zealously stepping up its project.

In this regard, the religious organizations at the press conference voiced vehement protest against the move to rebuild it and strongly demanded a halt to it.
