Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Party for the Socialist Choice of Romania, was elected chairman of the committee.

The committee set the remembrance period from Nov. 20 to Dec. 17 and decided to give wide publicity to the exploits of Kim Jong Il and organize political and cultural events including a remembrance meeting, seminar and book and photo exhibition in the period.
