An unveiling ceremony took place on Tuesday.

Present there were Kim Ki Nam, Choe Thae Bok, Pak To Chun, Kim Won Hong, Jo Yon Jun, and commanding officers of the Ministry of State Security, officials of security organs at various levels and teachers, students and employees of the university and their families and officials and those of meritorious services of units which contributed to erecting the statues.

The statues were unveiled by leading officials of the party and army and officials of the university.

After the statues were unveiled, they shed bright rays.

Laid before the statues was a floral basket in the name of supreme leader Kim Jong Un.

Also placed there were floral baskets in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK and the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and in the name of the Ministry of State Security and security organs and units at various levels.

All the participants paid high tribute to the statues in humble reverence.

General of the Korean People's Army Kim Won Hong, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and minister of State Security, made an address.

The erection of the statues is a great event demonstrating the faith and will of all service personnel and people to accomplish the cause of Mt. Paektu by giving steady continuity to the lineage of Juche and another great revolutionary jubilee in giving steady continuity to the history of the cause of immortalizing the leaders, the speaker said, and went on:

Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il were founder and builder of the Juche- based security organ as they gave the origin to the building of the most popular and original security organ, the first of its kind in history, and wisely led the state security work.

Respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un, who is carrying forward and developing the Juche-based security idea and leadership feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, has shown all sorts of loving care and benevolence for the security officers so that they could creditably discharge their honorable mission in the general advance for the final victory of the Songun revolution.

The speaker called upon all the security officers and teachers and students of the university to build security organs and conduct their activities the way Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il did under any circumstances and discharge their sacred mission and duty as the security corps of the leaders and the supreme commander in any storm and stress, bearing in mind the fixed faith that Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il are always with them.

The participants were briefed on the statues before going round them.
