|
|
Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- Korea has a long history of decorative colorful painting for buildings. This history began with use of mineral paints to prevent the wooden structures from being decayed. Typical of its ancient buildings painted red and blue is Ryongwang Pavilion in Central District, Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK. The pavilion has fantastic and graceful decorations. It is decorated with series of lotus flower and cloud patterns, which are clear in line and contrast and bright in color. Such red-and-blue patterns have drawn watercolor painters of different countries for their peculiarities. |
