DPRK Judokas Prove Successful in Judo Grand Prix, Qingdao 2014

| Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- DPRK Judoka Hong Kuk Hyon came first in the Judo Grand Prix, Qingdao 2014 started in Qingdao, China on Nov. 19. It brought together at least 200 men and women ace judokas from more than 30 countries and regions including the DPRK. Hong Kuk Hyon beat his Mongolian and Chinese rivals in the preliminaries of the men's 73 kg category event and his Hungarian rival in the semi-finals with ippon. He beat his Belgian rival in the finals, grabbing a gold medal. Meanwhile, Kim Sol Mi won a bronze medal in the women's 48 kg category event. |
