The method has been proved economic as it fully secures the firing and combustion by burning pulverized anthracite with oxygen-enriched air while using no fuel oil.

Depending on this method, the researchers established the oxygen-pulverized coal combustion process and applied it to the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex.

The new technology is also highly appreciated by thermal power stations as it makes it possible to keep the electric-power production on a normal basis.
