Rodong Sinmun Flays U.S. and Its Servants for Adopting Anti-DPRK "Human Rights Resolution"

Pyongyang, November 22 (KCNA) -- The U.S.-manipulated railroading of the anti-DPRK "human rights resolution" through the UN is the most striking manifestation of the hostile policy toward the DPRK to bring down the man-centered socialist system which the Korean people chose themselves and consider dearer than their own lives, says Rodong Sinmun Saturday in an article. Choosing a social system is entirely a matter pertaining to a sovereign right of the people of a relevant country, the article notes, and goes on: No country has the right to intervene in the internal affairs of other country. It is the people of the country who are well aware of its specific conditions and what they like precisely means a human rights standard. The "resolution" on the "human rights situation" submitted by the allies of the U.S. has no relevance with the genuine promotion of the human rights protection as it is a product of the anti-DPRK plot. The U.S. kicked off the "human rights offensive" against the DPRK in real earnest in the UN arena in a bid to invent a pretext for starting an invasion by creating the impression that the country is a "tundra of human rights." History tells that the U.S. baseless "human rights" racket ends in an invasion in the long run. The situation on the Korean Peninsula is now inching close to a phase of extreme tensions because of the railroading of the "resolution" manipulated by the U.S. and other hostile forces and its allies. It is crystal clear that under the prevailing situation, the war deterrence of the DPRK will be bolstered up unlimitedly to cope with the U.S. invasion of the country. The U.S., the principal architect of the "resolution", and its servants will be held wholly responsible for all the consequences to be entailed by its adoption. |
