The statement said:

The inter-Korean relations have reached a deplorable phase.

A fresh atmosphere of improving the inter-Korean relations was created in October with the visit of high-ranking officials of the north to Inchon as a momentum. The present regime, however, deliberately overlooked the conservative organizations' scattering of leaflets though the south and the north agreed on halting the smear campaign against each other at their high-level contact in February this year. Moreover, the authorities "hailed" the fabrication of the anti-DPRK "human rights resolution" at the UN, seriously rattling the nerves of the north.

The responsibility for this situation entirely rests with Ryu Kil Jae, minister of Unification, who pushed the inter-Korean relations to catastrophe.

Such minister is a trouble-maker, the statement noted, adding that he should step down, holding accountable for the present inter-Korean relations.
