Land Management Campaign Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- Various works have been done in different parts of the DPRK to give a new appearance to the country in the autumn period of general mobilization for land management. In Pyongyang, citizens smoothly carried out such scheduled projects as planting trees around the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery and other areas and paving roads of tens of thousands of square meters. Those in North Hwanghae Province worked on the improvement of roads and rivers extending more than one hundred kilometers and the repair of at least 1, 400 dwelling houses. North Hamgyong Province created 19,000 hectares of forest of economic value and built a fire-belt extending several hundreds of kilometers, while North Phyongan Province made lawns of 1,000 square meters along roads. Similar works were also done in other provinces of the country. |
