Khan said Kim Jong Il comprehensively developed in depth the Juche idea and the Songun idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and firmly defended socialism from the imperialists' moves by pursuing the Songun politics.

He met all the challenges of the imperialists with the might of Songun and turned socialist Korea into a political, ideological and military power and nuclear weapons state, Khan said, adding:

The great exploits he performed for the Korean revolution and the world revolution will shine forever.

Ahmad said Kim Jong Il was a prominent thinker and theoretician, peerless elder statesman and Songun brilliant commander who led the revolutionary cause of Juche to one victory after another with his profound idea and theories and outstanding leadership and a peerless patriot and tender-hearted father of the people who devoted all his life to the country and its people.

Thanks to his wise guidance the Juche idea and the Songun idea are shining as the great guiding ideas in the era of independence and the revolutionary traditions of Mt. Paektu have been firmly upheld and preserved, Ahmad noted, and went on:
