On display at the venue of the meeting were works of Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and books introducing Songun Korea.

Present there were delegates of political parties and organizations in the European region including the Communist Party of Italy, the Socialist Party of Romania, the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), the French Revolutionary Communist League, the Finnish Communists' League, the Communist Party of Malta and the Poland-Korea Association and personages of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea.

The director of the International Department of the Communist Party of Italy said that the achievements made by the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the Korean people would be unthinkable without the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of the Juche idea stressed that the distinguished exploit performed by Kim Jong Il for the cause of global independence lies in that he defended the cause of socialism.

The international secretary of the Central Committee of the French Revolutionary Communist League said that Kim Jong Il developed the WPK into an organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people.

Meanwhile, the Communist Party of the People of Spain in its letter sent to the meeting said:

We extend firm solidarity to the WPK standing in the van of the anti-imperialist struggle.

The great Comrade Kim Jong Il will always be with progressive mankind.
