Fully supporting the appeal, the president said:

Leader Kim Jong Il performed immortal exploits before the times and history.

He left as a legacy the great exploits guaranteeing the eternal foundation for socialist Korea and its rosy future.

He glorified the Juche idea, Songun idea as the eternal guiding idea of Korea and great guiding idea in the era of independence.

He developed the Workers' Party of Korea into an ever-victorious guiding force, turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist state and consolidated the Korean People's Army into a matchless army.

He also paid deep attention to the development of relations with developing countries and African countries including Benin and rendered material and moral assistance to those countries in their drive for achieving independence and building new society.

Though he passed away, his exploits will always remain in the hearts of progressive mankind.

We will significantly organize political and cultural events on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of his demise.
