The team took the first place in men's premier league for the DPRK Championships held from September 20 to late October this year.

It was organized in May Juche 102 (2013) as a football group of the C.C., Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League. Supreme leader Kim Jong Un named it Hwaebul to the effect that it should become a spark in raising the hot wind of sports throughout the country.

The Hwaebul Team made its debut in the men's premier football league of the Sports Contest for Pochonbo Torch Prize, placing first.

It also showed good results in last year's DPRK Championships and this year's Soccer Tournament for Torch Cup.
