Pyongyang, December 7 (KCNA) -- The Brazilian Committee for Solidarity with the DPRK featured articles on its website on Dec. 1 on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il. Those articles were titled "Shining star of Mt. Paektu", "Thunder over Jongil Peak" under the caption "Mt. Paektu and Kim Jong Il." Mt. Paektu, the ancestral mountain of the Korean nation and the sacred mountain of the Korean revolution, would be unthinkable apart from Kim Jong Il, the eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, an article said, adding: Kim Jong Il was born on Mt. Paektu, a key base of the anti-Japanese armed struggle, on February 16, 1942. At that time, anti-Japanese fighters wrote such letters as "O, we herald birth of shining star of Mt. Paektu" and "Long live shining star which emerged, shedding its rays all over land of Korea" on barked trees, hoping that Kim Jong Il would become a bright star who will glorify Korea in the future by carrying forward the cause of General Kim Il Sung, the sun of the Korean nation. Entering Kim Il Sung University, he composed the poem "O Korea, I Will Add Glory to Thee." This poem reflected his will to be responsible for the destiny of Korea and lead it to the bright future, true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung. Referring in detail to the fact that the DPRK has demonstrated its might as a satellite producing and launching country and a nuclear weapons state, thanks to the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, it said his august name and exploits will shine forever along with Mt. Paektu. |
