The Security Investigation Group of the puppet National Police Agency on Dec. 3 stormed the house of Kwon O Hon, honorary chairman of the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy to search his body and house.

The fascist police took such action on charges that he praised and encouraged the north at a press conference held on the occasion of demise of leader Kim Jong Il, an event held to observe the anniversary of the South Headquarters of Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, an event held to mark the 40th anniversary of the publication of the July 4 Joint Statement and in his article contributed to the Thongil News, etc.

At the press conference Kwon said that all his activities which the police called into question were open and legal ones, adding that he called for national independence, reunification and democratization of south Korean society, human rights and vital rights of the people.

A press release was read out at the press conference.

It said that the present regime is making desperate efforts to eliminate the forces critical of it and bring back the era of the "yusin" dictatorship.

It demanded the security authorities stop the suppression of the activist, repeal the "Security Law", release at once all the prisoners of conscience and halt the repressive campaign to bring back the era of "yusin" dictatorship.
