Among the units taking the lead in the cultivation is Pyongyang University of Railways.

The university cultivates mushroom in vinyl greenhouses whose gross area is more than one hundred square meters.

A large amount of Agaricus bisporus and Pleurotus has been produced in those greenhouses, according to Min Hyon Chun, deputy president of the university.

Many units in North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces are directing big efforts to mushroom cultivation in vinyl greenhouses, thus making contributions to improving the diet life of people.
