Kim Jong Il Remembered Abroad
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- Events were held in various countries on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included a remembrance meeting, film show and book exhibition held in Nigeria, a lecture and photo exhibition in Uganda, a seminar on Kim Jong Il's exploits and film show and round-table talks in Germany on December 1 and 2.

Displayed at the venues of the events were photos dealing with the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also on display there were works of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and books introducing successes achieved by the army and people of the DPRK in building a thriving socialist nation.

Participants in the film shows watched Korean films dealing with the wise leadership and exploits of the peerlessly great man.

An official of Nigeria in his speech said that Kim Jong Il is a great man as he turned the DPRK into a socialist country fully exercising its independent rights in all fields on the basis of tremendous military capability.

Speakers including the chairman of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement highly praised the President and Kim Jong Il as distinguished leaders as they rendered material and moral assistance to African people in their struggle for the liberation from colonial rule and the building of new society and for their socio-economic development and unity.

The chairman of the Anti-Imperialist Forum of Germany at a seminar noted that Kim Jong Il won one victory after another in the acute confrontation with the U.S. imperialists by consolidating the single-minded unity of the leader, party and masses as firm as rock.
