Poor Situation of S. Korean Youth
|

Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Strange trend is sweeping south Korea. According to the south Korean CBS report on Dec. 6, clothes-stalls in the street outside Hongik University in Seoul had disappeared in one or two years to be replaced by fortune-telling stalls. It was reported that jobless young people in their 20s and 30s visit those stalls with hope. The number has shown rapid increase recently. Experts say this reflects uneasiness of young people with rare opportunity of employment. The CBS deplored the poor situation of the young people. The south Korean authorities press for privatization while resorting to the pro-plutocrats policy. As a result, human rights of the south Koreans have been wantonly abused through massive layoff under the pretext of restructuring. This casts clouds over the vital rights of millions of young people including university graduates, especially those on the eve of their graduation. |
