They included lectures in Mexico, Bangladesh and Guinea and roundtable talks in Ethiopia.

A member of the National Coordinating Committee of the Workers' Party of Mexico said in his lecture titled "Mt. Paektu of Korea and Kim Jong Il" that Kim Jong Il who was born in Mt. Paektu grew up, hearing gunfire as a lullaby during the great anti-Japanese war.

He stressed that Kim Jong Il was the peerless brilliant Songun commander who turned the DPRK into the politico-ideological power and military power, meeting all sorts of challenges of imperialist allied forces with his original Songun revolutionary leadership.

Andres Gasca Sanchez, president of the Mexican Friend Association for Memory of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, praised Kim Jong Il as the peerless politician who demonstrated the dignity and might of the country before the world by leading the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and Korean people under the banner of Juche and the world elder statesman who made great contributions to accomplishing the human cause of independence.

M. Jahangir Khan, chairman of the Bangladesh Group for the Study of the Songun Policy, said that Kim Jong Il left as his legacy the great exploits guaranteeing the eternal foundation and bright future of socialist Korea, adding:

Kim Jong Il formulated the revolutionary idea of Kim Il Sung as an integral system of ideology, theory and method of Juche.

He developed the WPK into the invincible guiding force, the DPRK into an invulnerable fortress of socialism and the Korean People's Army into an invincible army.

He turned the whole society into a great family by pursuing the politics of love and trust.

The immortal exploits performed by him all his life serve as the most precious legacy guaranteeing the victory of socialism in the DPRK and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.
