The secretary general of the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Organization said this in a statement issued on Dec. 4 on the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Kim Jong Il's demise.

He said:

HE Kim Jong Il was the great leader and father of the people who dedicated himself to the happiness of the Korean people and the prosperity of socialist Korea all his life.

He made an undying contribution to boosting the friendship and solidarity between the Korean people and all other world progressives.

I, together with the friendly Korean people, pay highest tribute to him.
