Kim Jong Il Remembered in Various Countries

Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- Memorial events took place in various countries on Dec. 3 and 5 on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il. They included a remembrance meeting and DPRK photo exhibition held by the Nakhodka City Committee of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a seminar, remembrance meeting and film show by the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and a remembrance meeting, photo exhibition and film show by the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association. On display at the venues of the events were photos documenting the exploits of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un. Also displayed there were works of the peerless great men of Mt. Paektu and books and photos introducing Songun Korea. Participants in the film shows watched the Korean films including "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation". Zelenov, first secretary of the Nakhodka City Committee of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, said that Kim Jong Il was the great man who dedicated his whole life to the cause of the country and its people's happiness. Lyudmil Kostadinov, chief of the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, and other reporters and speakers highly lauded Kim Jong Il as the peerless elder statesman. They expressed belief that the army and people of Korea would demonstrate only the victory and honor in their struggle for building a thriving nation and achieving the country's independent and peaceful reunification under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, and other speakers stressed that Kim Jong Il's revolutionary exploits performed on behalf of the Korean people and progressive humankind would last forever along with his august name. A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the event held in Pakistan. |
