On display at the venue of the event were photos documenting the revolutionary feats performed by President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Also displayed there were their works and other books, and pictures introducing Songun Korea.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

V. A. Petrov, chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, in a report said that Kim Jong Il was the great thinker and theoretician and distinguished statesman who developed and enriched the Juche idea fathered by Kim Il Sung and applied it to the reality of the DPRK.

Kapto, chairman of the Russian Public Circles Committee for Liaison with the DPRK, in his speech noted that Kim Jong Il instilled into the Korean people the conviction in victory of socialism and left the powerful state, people's power and invincible revolutionary armed forces as legacies.

Matsegora, deputy director of the Foreign Ministry of Russia, stressed that Kim Jong Il performed great feats for the development of the party, army and state of the DPRK.

A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

Present there were personages of the Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, Public Circles Committee for Liaison with the DPRK, Foreign Ministry, Korean War Veterans' Council, Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences and the Korean Koryo Medical Centre and masses.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Russia and staff members of his embassy.
