That day the fascist police searched the home of Hwang Son, representative of the Forum for the Study of Politics Desired, and offices of the South Side Committee and the Seoul Headquarters, taking issue with Hwang and Sin Un Mi, a Korean professor in the U.S., over their lecture at Jogye Temple in Seoul.

Enraged by this, the committee held a press conference before its office in Jongro District, Seoul where the police were keen on searching.

The committee protested against the search made by the police for the mere reason that the lecture of Hwang and Sin was sponsored by the committee.

The Solidarity for Progress in a statement denounced the present regime for its frantic suppression of the reunification movement organizations and officials through the racket of "eliminating followers of the north".
