Present there were representatives of political parties and organizations of Peru, including the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students, the Revolutionary Socialist Party, the Communist Party of Peru (Red Motherland), the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the Association for the Study of Revolutionary Activities of Comrade Kim Jong Suk and the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship, and masses.

The DPRK ambassador to Peru and his embassy officials were present on invitation.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Jong Il.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students, said that Kim Jong Il was the great leader who guided the socialist cause to victory.

Victor Oliva Miguel, general secretary of the Revolutionary Socialist Party, noted that Kim Jong Il was the symbol and incarnation of the unity.

Eleazar Ramos Loarte, secretary general of the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, said that very great are the feats performed by Kim Jong Il who made a theoretical and practical verification of the inevitability of the socialist victory at the end of the last century.

Yuri Castro Romero, secretary general of the Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship, said: To hold Kim Jong Il in high esteem as the eternal leader of the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence is the glory and pride and the bounden duty and obligation of all of us.
