The system depends on advanced image processing technology and interpretative application programs with database storing all circumstances of the spread of forest fire.

In case of an outbreak of forest fire, the system makes it possible to simulate its direction and range under the geographical, forest and climatic conditions and estimate the level of danger.

It is believed that the GIS-based system would be helpful to taking effectual measures against forest fire on an IT basis.
