The paper carried a photo of the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill.

The paper conveyed news of Marshal Kim Jong Un inspecting units of the Korean People's Army (KPA).

It said:

Kim Jong Un inspected KPA Unit 1313 honored with the title of O Jung Hup-led 7th Regiment where he stressed the need to more thoroughly prepare the service personnel politically and ideologically and in military technique.

He listened to the contents of lectures given at a political lecture at the unit and examined the operational plan.

Soldiers of the KPA should undergo effective training on the basis of concrete information on the enemy and steadily improve the training methods and programs, he noted.

Then he guided a pistol-firing drill of commanding officers and company commanders and political instructors of the unit.

He had a photo session with the service personnel after giving them a pair of binoculars and an automatic rifle as gifts.

He also inspected the Artillery Company under KPA Unit 963 which started the new year combat and political drill. He gave an instruction to conduct various forms of combat drills under the simulated conditions of an actual war.
