Displeased with the lectures through which she gave impressions of what she had seen during her visit to the DPRK, the south Korean regime persecuted her for praising the north and eventually started a coercive investigation into her.

Strongly protesting against the unjust action of the authorities, she explained how she gave lectures on reunification.

She said that she was just a common housewife.

She stressed that she got to know that beloved brothers and sisters were living there through her visit to the north.

This helped her have awareness that reunification is an idea common to the nation and prompted her to desire it and give such lectures, she added.

Meanwhile, Sin's lawyer chided the chief executive for terming Sin's and Hwang Son's lectures "pro-north activities" at the meeting of chief secretaries of Chongwadae, adding that it was a matter of concern that this would be pressure on the investigation institution.
