Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Two dismissed workers under the Ssangyong Motors branch of the Metal Workers Trade Union of south Korea waged stay-in strike on the 70m-high chimney in a factory of Ssangyong Motors in Phyongthaek, Kyonggi Province on Dec. 13, according to the KBS of south Korea. The puppet Supreme Court on Nov. 13 gave a decision that the indiscriminate layoff of workers made by the Ssangyong Motors side was "not mistake but a legal one that was needed under the pressing management situation." The dismissed workers angry at this step launched the sit-in strike denouncing the measure of the Supreme Court standing by the management side. They declared that they would stage the struggle together with other workers until the problem of Ssangyong Motors is settled. |
