U.S. Is Unchangeable Principal Enemy of DPRK: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- The trend of the situation on the Korean Peninsula this year clearly shows that it is none other than the U.S. which is the arch criminal disturbing the efforts for creating a peaceful environment on the Korean Peninsula and bringing the danger of a new war and that it remains the unchangeable principal enemy of the DPRK. Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in an article. The U.S. has persistently stepped up its hostile policy towards the DPRK throughout the year, threatening and blackmailing the DPRK by force of arms, the article notes and goes on: This year the U.S. reached a more reckless phase in its moves to stamp out politically, isolate economically and stifle the DPRK by force of arms. It made a last-ditch effort to disarm the DPRK by taking issue with every step it took to bolster up war deterrence for self-defence. The U.S. reached the height in its moves to break the single-minded unity and infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK through a criminal "human rights" offensive this year. The U.S. was hit hard by the DPRK's toughest counteraction. Yet, it went so foolish as to present itself as a "victor" by distorting and fabricating the history of defeat. This is another trend manifested in the U.S.-DPRK relations. It was a shameless tradition of the U.S. imperialists in which it was always hit hard and sustained setbacks whereas it was a proud tradition of the DPRK in which it has smashed every machination of the U.S. that went reckless, counting on its strength. The review of this year's DPRK-U.S. relations shows that the U.S. imperialists are the unchangeable principal and sworn enemy of the DPRK. The DPRK will surely settle accounts with the U.S. imperialists and give vent to its pent-up grudge, the article concludes. |
