Kim Jong Il Remembered by Political Parties and Organizations of Nordic Countries

Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of Nordic countries held a joint meeting for honoring the memory of leader Kim Jong Il in Stockholm, Sweden on Dec. 17 on the occasion of the third anniversary of his demise. Displayed at the venue of the meeting were photos documenting the sacred revolutionary career and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il. Present there were figures and members of the political parties, friendly and solidarity organizations with the Korean people and organizations for the study of the Juche idea in Nordic countries including the Communist Party in Sweden, Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, Finnish Communists' League, Finland-Korea Society, Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association and the Friendship Society Norway-Korea. Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, said: Kim Jong Il provided powerful nuclear deterrent and firmly defended the country's sovereignty and people's happiness and peace and security on the Korean Peninsula by enforcing great Songun politics. He also made great contributions to the cause of the national reunification and wisely led the Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving socialist nation. Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, stressed that great are Kim Jong Il's exploits performed for the cause of Korea's reunification and the cause of global independence. He said that it is their duty to extend support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause. Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, emphasized that Kim Jong Il's idea and cause are being steadfastly carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un. A message to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting. And a declaration was read out there. |
