Especially, in the general advance of the Songun (military-first) revolution led by Marshal Kim Jong Un in the new century, the KPA have further demonstrated its revolutionary nature and militant mettle by taking the lead in building a thriving nation.

It is the greatest feats performed by the KPA that it has reliably safeguarded the lifeline of the Juche revolution under the uplifted banner of devotedly defending the leader.

On January 1, Juche 101 (2012), Kim Jong Un inspected the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards 105th Tank Division of the KPA, declaring his will to invariably carry on the Songun revolution together with servicepersons. In response to his will, the servicepersons of the KPA Ground, Naval, Air and Anti-Air Forces held a rally to vow to firmly carry forward the tradition of the Paektusan army.

In March 2013, the U.S. had become evermore reckless in its moves to ignite a nuclear war against the DPRK, pulling up it over its satellite launch for peaceful purpose and self-defensive underground nuclear test. It also took merciless physical counteraction against the leaflet scattering conducted by traitors to the Korean nation in the area along the Military Demarcation Line in October this year.

The KPA has stood in the van in the struggle to uphold the monolithic leadership of the WPK with loyalty and creditably defend the revolutionary tradition of Juche.

It was well evidenced by those songs like "Revolutionary Armed Forces Upholds Leadership of Marshal Only" reverberated throughout the country.

Meetings of KPA servicepersons including the 1st Meeting of Airpersons, the 4th Meeting of the Company Commanders and Political Instructors and the 3rd Meeting of Battalion Commanders and Political Instructors served as occasions to manifest their will to invariably uphold the Party's leadership without slightest deviation.

This year, a study tour of the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu made by the commanding officers of the KPA combined units marked an important occasion in successfully carrying forward the tradition of Mt. Paektu and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Songun.
