National reunification was her lifetime desire.

From the early days of national division forced by outside forces after the country's liberation from the Japanese colonial rule, she worked heart and soul to put into practice President Kim Il Sung's idea of national reunification.

It was one day in April Juche 37 (1948) that she met the south Korean women participants in the Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Social Organizations in North and South Korea held in Pyongyang.

After praising them for their righteous struggle in south Korea, she told them that the conference was of great significance in rallying all fellow countrymen around Kim Il Sung, foiling maneuvers for "separate election and separate government" sought by the U.S. imperialists and separatists and building a reunified sovereign state. And she called on them to make joint efforts to achieve the national reunification.

Kim Jong Suk had also paid deep attention to bringing up the rising generations to be the pillars of the national cause of independence, while taking warm care of their living.

She devoted herself to rallying all the women into a powerful force capable of carrying forward the struggle for independent reunification.

The undying feats she performed for national reunification will be always remembered by the Korean people.
