Leader Kim Jong Il advanced the task to wind up the construction of Chusang Power Station No. 1 earlier than scheduled when he was providing field guidance to the completed Kumjingang Hungbong Youth Power Station on November 14, Juche 95 (2006). He clearly indicated the ways to do so.

He praised the builders of the power station, saying they were as worthy as pearl, and led them with loving care to perform miracles and innovations in the construction.

The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) learned about the achievements made by members of the young shock brigade, working people and officials in Hamju County in the construction of Hamju Chusang Power Station No. 1, showed deep loving care for them and encouraged them.

They built the power station through the drive for carrying out the party's idea and defending the party's policy by overcoming all difficulties and ordeals.

A ceremony of completing the construction of the power station took place on the spot on Friday.

Present there were Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, officials of the county, members of the young shock brigade and other working people.

A message of thanks of the WPK Central Committee to the members of the young shock brigade, working people and officials who performed labor feats in the construction of the power station was conveyed at the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony its participants went round the power station.
