Kim Jong Il's Feats Praised by Foreign Papers
Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Foreign papers carried special write-ups on the occasion of the third anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The December 8th issue of the Russian paper Komsomolskaya Pravda devoted one whole page to articles titled "Shining Star over Mt. Paektu" and "Thunder over Jong Il Peak" under the headline of "Mt. Paektu and Kim Jong Il" illustrated with a photo of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

The paper said: Kim Jong Il, who was born in Mt. Paektu and grew up while hearing gun-reports as lullaby during the anti-Japanese struggle, was highly praised as the Shining Star over Mt. Paektu by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters.

He entered Kim Il Sung University with a noble aim to glorify Korea. He turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist power, guided by his faith and will.

The thunder over Jong Il peak has become a symbol of his great personality, the paper noted, introducing the strong pluck and courage of the illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu with which he brought about steady victories in the confrontation with the U.S. and such eye-opening event as the June 15 era of reunification.

Another newspaper of Russia Argumenti Nedeli on Dec. 11 introduced the cause of immortalizing the leader in the DPRK illustrated with a photo of Kim Jong Il.

A Vietnamese newspaper on Dec. 17 carried an article praising the Songun leadership feats of Kim Jong Il illustrated with a portrait of the smiling leader.

The Zambian newspaper Post on Dec. 12 carried a photo of Kim Jong Il and stressed that he was the great master of independent politics to be specially recorded in the world history of politics.
