Performances were given by artistes of central art groups at theaters in Pyongyang.

The Samjiyon Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and the National Symphony Orchestra at the Moranbong Theater put on the stage such numbers as male solo "Arms of Paektusan Will Answer", male quartet "Leader, Just Give Us Your Order", orchestra "Footstep".

The performers expressed boundless reverence for Kim Jong Un and truthfully represented the high pride and self-esteem of the army and the people of the DPRK who are blessed with the illustrious leaders generation after generation.

The artistes of the National Circus at the Pyongyang Circus Theater put on the stage such colorful numbers as physical acrobatics "Wisdom of the Nation" and comedy circus "Congratulations".

Art performances were also given in different parts of the country to stir up the festive atmosphere.

Sports games including basketball, volleyball and table-tennis took place at institutions of different levels, factories, enterprises and farms in Pyongyang and local areas.
