Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the Nigerian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Juche Philosophy, the Nigerian Group for the Study of the Songun Politics and the Nigerian Group for Self-Reliance Studies issued a joint statement on Dec. 24, Juche 103 (2014) to denounce the south Korean puppet group for forcibly disbanding the Unified Progressive Party (UPP). The UPP which had conducted its activities as a legitimate political party after being founded reflecting the will of the people from all walks of life aspiring after independence, democracy and reunification in south Korea was forcibly disbanded by dictators, the statement said, and went on: The south Korean authorities made a decision on disbanding the UPP, claiming that the programme of the UPP was akin to the "Juche idea and Juche ideal of the north" and the same or similar to "the north's revolutionary strategy against the south" and the UPP's aim and activities were to "achieve democracy by violence and finally build socialism the way the north did." Freedom of activities of political parties is guaranteed in any country of the world and leftist political parties are conducting their legitimate activities even in Western capitalist countries where serious prejudice in idea and human rights abuses are rampant. But the elementary political freedom and democratic rights are being trampled down and the legitimate political party was forcibly disbanded in south Korea, crimes challenging human civilization and requirements of universal human rights. We bitterly condemn the disbandment of the UPP as a politically-motivated terrorist act of violating democracy and human rights on behalf of the world progressives loving justice and truth. |
