Tribute Paid to Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Leading officials of the party, state and army visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on Thursday on the occasion of the New Year, Juche 104 (2015). They included Kim Yong Nam, Choe Ryong Hae and other senior party and state officials, officials of the party and power bodies, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions. Seen standing before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il was a floral basket in the name of Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA). Also seen there was a floral basket in the name of the KPA. Laid before the statues was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee of the WPK, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK Cabinet. The participants paid high tribute to the statues in the humblest reverence. At the halls of immortality where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lie in state, they made deep bows. They went round the halls where orders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il received are on display, the mourners' hall and the halls which house cars, an electric car, a boat and train coaches used by them during their field guidance and foreign tours till the last moments of their lives. That day staff members of the diplomatic corps and the military attaches corps here, foreign guests, overseas Koreans and Chief Jo Il Min and staff members of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front paid tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. |
