In this regard, Ri Song Il, a vice-director of the hospital, told KCNA that last year the hospital had applied new surgical methods to successfully recover scores of patients from vaso-occlusive diseases.

Ri Song Guk, head of cardiovascular surgery of the hospital, said his department would go ahead with the research into new surgical methods more efficacious against vaso-occlusive diseases.
