Rangnim, January 5 (KCNA) -- Trees bearing revolutionary slogans and historic relics and materials dating back to the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle were newly discovered in the area of Rangnim to be supplemented and exhibited at the Rangnim Revolutionary Museum in Jagang Province. The area is the place where President Kim Il Sung and anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk energetically led the preparations for expanding the armed struggle to the homeland and actively greeting the great event of national liberation after marching into the homeland in the latter half of the 1930s. The newly exhibited trees and historic relics and materials tell about the feats Kim Il Sung performed in the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and those Kim Jong Suk did by conducting energetic activities to carry out his plan. Trees bearing slogans were discovered at Kajang Valley in Insan-ri, Toju Valley in Taehung-ri, and in Munak and Jangsong-ris of Rangnim County. They included "Illustrious commander Kim Il Sung beats back Japanese army here and there", "Anti-Japanese struggle" and "Long Live Independence." There are also slogans representing the minds of fighters and people to hold Kim Il Sung who was leading the anti-Japanese war to victory in high esteem in the liberated country and glorify it, and their reverence for Kim Jong Suk. Dozens of relics used by anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters were discovered at the secret camps on Wagal Peak and Mt. Sodong of the Secret Base on Mt. Rangnim and the site of the Temporary Secret Base on Mt. Ryonhwa, etc. |
