Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism posted an article titled "Socialist Constitution of DPRK" on its website on Dec. 30 last year. The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK stipulates that the Juche idea and the Songun idea shall be the guiding principle for state activities, the article said, and continued: The Socialist Constitution remarkably enhanced the authority of the National Defence Commission in the state machinery in line with the specific situation of the country and the requirements of the times. Thus, the Korean people could have a sure legal guarantee to reliably protect the people-centered socialist system with arms in any severe circumstances and victoriously advance the building of a thriving nation. The Socialist Constitution also stipulates that to steadily improve the material and cultural living standards of the people shall be the supreme principle of state activities. In actuality, the DPRK is championing the independent requirements and interests of the working masses and providing them with all living conditions to discharge its mission as a householder. The Korean people are provided by the state all rights social beings can enjoy, including the rights to receive free education and free medical care. The Socialist Constitution is a political charter which codifies all victories and successes scored by the Korean people in the revolution and construction under the banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea and stipulates all principles to be adhered to in all fields of the social life, including politics, economy, culture and national defence, and important tasks in socialist construction. It serves as the powerful driving force of the revolution and construction as it is the law of the people themselves, which is absolutely supported by them. |
