Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- Tajik and South African political figures made public statements on December 30 last year in denunciation of the large political terrorist case in south Korea. Sh. Shabdolov, chairman of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, in his statement said that the south Korean authorities brought the non-existent "human rights issue" of the north up for discussion at the UN but are turning their blind eyes to the heinous human rights abuses. The world progressives and unbiased public opinion claim that the UN should take issue with the human rights abuses by the south Korean authorities and discussed them, he said, and went on: The south Korean authorities should not talk about "human rights" of the north but make an apology before the international community for their heinous human rights abuses and be punished. Bonakele Majuba, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party and chairman of the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, said in his statement: The south Korean authorities recently disbanded the Unified Progressive Party by branding it as "unconstitutional party following the north", forcibly linking the party's programme to the DPRK. This is a wanton violation of democracy and human rights and unprecedented politically-motivated terrorist act. We bitterly denounce the south Korean authorities for their reckless politically-motivated suppression and urge them to value justice and conscience and behave with reason. |
