The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il standing at the camp and paid tribute to them.

A ceremony for starting the camping took place on Thursday.

Present at the ceremony were Pak Jong Nam, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and teachers and staff of the camp.

Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the C.C., the youth league, made a report at the ceremony to be followed by speeches.

An art performance was given by teachers and staff of the camp congratulating the campers.

During the camping the campers will spend pleasant days according to a peculiar winter program, enjoying skiing, skating and sleighing at the Masikryong Ski Resort.
