He visited the Kangson Steel Plant, hometown of Chollima, in December, Juche 97 (2008), kindling a torch for a great fresh revolutionary upswing and leading the officials to minutely conduct organizational and political work and dynamically motivate the masses in their van.

He met with officials there in March, 2009 and told them that all of them should successfully play the role of blower in intensifying the drive for great upswing with high sense of responsibility.

He visited the March 5 Youth Mine in September of 2010 and highly praised the officials there. He said one of the main factors of the mine's successes was that the officials worked out bold and ambitious plans with an innovative eye and carried them out in a persevering manner.
