During the Fatherland Liberation War Kim Sun Im was parted from Ri In Mo, who left for front. She sincerely worked while waiting for more than four decades for her husband the fate of whom she did not know as befitting spouse of the revolutionary solider faithful to the party and the leader.

President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il met Ri In Mo who was brought back to the fold of the DPRK and also Kim Sun Im and bestowed the highest glory on her, saying that not only her husband but also she were heroes as she maintained her fidelity for her husband for decades. They showed unsparing loving care and benevolence for the family of Ri In Mo and Kim Sun Im.

Thanks to their deep trust and care Kim Sun Im tried hard to lead a worthwhile life as befitting spouse of the indomitable pro-reunification patriotic fighter whom all the members of the country learn after.

Upon the sad news of her death, Marshal Kim Jong Un sent a wreath to the bier of Kim Sun Im, expressing deep condolences. He saw to it that the funeral service for her was carried out well.

Her bier was visited by Choe Ryong Hae, Kim Ki Nam and Kim Yang Gon and other officials of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and ministries and national institutions and those of the party and power bodies in Pyongyang and former unconverted long-term prisoners on Saturday.

Present at the funeral service were officials of the WPK Central Committee, bereaved family members and relatives, officials of ministries and national institutions and the party and power bodies of Pyongyang and former unconverted long-term prisoners.

Her remains were buried by those of her husband Ri In Mo in the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery.

A wreath sent by Kim Jong Un was laid before the grave.

Placed before the grave were wreaths in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, the Ministry of External Economic Relations and other institutions.

The participants paid silence tribute to the memory of the late.
