The Solidarity Committee of Unionists for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Austria in its statement on Jan. 5 fully supported the New Year address made by Kim Jong Un.

It said:

We are convinced that the DPRK will make big progress in the efforts for achieving the peaceful reunification of the Korean peninsula this year marking the 70th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

We strongly demand the U.S. government come out for sincere negotiations with the DPRK for peace and the south Korean authorities mend the inter-Korean relations and stop war exercises against the fellow countrymen in the north.

Shapril Arsiyad, chairman of the Indonesian Federation of Transport Workers Unions, said in his statement on Jan. 12:

We consider the proposal for improving the north-south relations and achieving national reunification made by Kim Jong Un in his New Year address as the most fair and aboveboard and realistic one and voice full support and solidarity with it.

We extend support and solidarity to the DPRK government's will and its efforts to usher in an era of peace, reunification and prosperity by successfully implementing the July 4 joint statement, historic June 15 joint declaration and October 4 declaration this year, too.

We hold that the south Korean authorities should take sincere practical actions to mend the inter-Korean relations.
